Use of cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on the visitor’s computer that make it possible to trace what a visitor to the site does. According to the 2011 Act on Electronic Communication, everyone who visits a website with cookies must be informed that the site uses cookies, what the cookies are used for and how to opt out of cookies.

Some parts of the SLU websites use cookies to give the visitor access to extra functionality, such as order forms. We also use cookies to gather statistics on how visitors use the website. No personal, identifiable data about users such as e-mail or name are stored.

You can always set up your browser to avoid storing cookies, or to display a message when a page contains cookies. However, this may mean that some functionality will not be available.

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority, which monitors electronic communications in Sweden, has more information about cookies on their website www.pts.se.
